2025 Week 2 & 3 Recap
January 5th, 2025 - January 18, 2025
Well, there’s not much to recap for the past two weeks because I am still finishing getting set up over here. Almost there; I swear!
I am going to be posting a new video on YouTube this coming Wednesday (January 22nd). It will be a time lapse video of the work I did on my Holiday Window Mural. I know, it’s a little late…huh? I never officially finished (due mostly to weather, but also other personal factors that made it difficult), but it was mostly done. I am going to be re-using the footage again in November/December this year to teach a few more things from it, but the video coming out next week will be a shorter time-lapse of the process with some quick tips sprinkled in.
Starting the week after (the last week in January) I will be implementing my new schedule for videos on my YouTube channel. That will go as follows:
Every Monday - a shorter (20 mins or less) quick tips video
Every other Wednesday - a main video about design, signage, murals, window paintings, and all of the things I originally started my channel for.
Every other Friday (alternating) - a video about Procreate or another digital art or design software.
So the alternating weeks will go like this:
Week A - Monday (Quick Tips) and Friday (Digital)
Week B - Monday (Quick Tips) and Wednesday (Main Design-Related Video)
and then they will repeat like that throughout the year.
At some point, when I finally get back into the groove, I would like to move up to what I wanted my schedule to be - which is 3 videos a week (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday). I am hoping that happens sometime later this year.
I am going to have more updates posted on the Shrush Design Online main Substack page about all of my links and where to follow me, but here is an image that sums it up nicely.

I’m trying really hard to grow these accounts this year (these algorithms are awful for smaller accounts — even if you “pay to play” with advertising). Each account has something unique to the platform it is on (though there is also some overlap with some content on multiple platforms), but if you are a user of any of these platforms, please subscribe, follow, etc. I really appreciate it. I am currently not monetized on any platform, and it makes it difficult to keep putting out content because I have to spend my time and energy to make money elsewhere. I would love to be able to focus on my business alone! And I also don’t want to resort to gimmicks to make “viral videos” that have nothing to do with my usual content. That’s just not me.
